Kent-Moore K-410 Clutch Pilot Bearing Replacer
This special tool is used to properly install the ball type clutch pilot bearing in the end of the crankshaft. The clutch pilot bearing must be pushed into place in exact alignment with the crankshaft. The replacer shaft is a slip fit within a centering collar that fits into the transmission pilot hole of the clutch housing. The pilot end of the replacer shaft fits into the bearing hole and a driving shoulder engages the bearing outer race. In operation, place a bearing on the pilot end of the replacer shaft. Position the tool with the centering collar fitted within the transmission pilot hole of the clutch housing. Push the replacer shaft forward until the bearing begins to enter the hole in the crankshaft. Tap the end of the replacer shaft lightly with a hammer until the bearing is seated. This special tool may also be used to install the retainer used to retain roller type clutch pilot bearings. Weight 4 lbs.
