Kent-Moore J-932 Synchronizing Ring Retaining Spring Remover and Replacer
A small milled slot in the gear permits the pointed nose of pliers to be inserted and fitted in the cone retainer spring gap. Very little pressure is required on plier handles to open the spring, but care is required in fitting end of pliers into spring gap for the spreading operation. A very small gripping or locating lug at end of pliers helps keep spring centered on pliers while the spring is being expanded. Weight 1/4 lb.
